Every asset in the ScanWOW library starts as a real object we scan ourselves. Your job is the step between the raw scan and the catalogue: making each model accurate, clean and ready to drop into a game engine, a film scene or a dataset.
You will work closely with the scanning team and the technical artist who builds our export pipeline, and your standards will directly shape what thousands of artists download.
What you will do
- Process photogrammetry scans: alignment review, mesh cleanup, hole filling and artefact removal.
- Build production topology — high-poly source, game-ready LODs — with clean UVs and consistent texel density.
- Bake and author PBR maps: albedo, normal, roughness, AO, height, and delight the colour data.
- Check scale, pivot and material setup against our library standard before an asset ships.
- Help evolve the processing guidelines and flag what the pipeline could automate.
What we expect
- 3+ years in 3D production for games, film or asset libraries.
- Hands-on photogrammetry processing: RealityCapture or Metashape.
- Confident retopology, UV unwrapping and baking — Blender, Maya or 3ds Max, plus Marmoset Toolbag or Substance.
- A solid grasp of PBR: what each map means and how it behaves in Unreal, Unity and Blender.
- A portfolio with scanned or realistic assets — wireframes and texture breakdowns included.
Nice to have
- Experience with Substance 3D Designer or Painter for material authoring.
- Scripting in Python for Blender or Houdini.
- Shooting photogrammetry yourself: lighting, cross-polarisation, turntables.
What we offer
- Remote work with a flexible schedule inside a small, senior team.
- Real influence on the library standard and the export pipeline.
- Direct work with the scanning team and early access to new captures.
- Hardware and software licences needed for the job.
