А2. Editorial Use Only License

Applies to Assets with the "Editorial only" status. This Appendix governs exclusively the editorial and informational use of such Assets and does not extend to other types of Assets.

1. Scope of Rights and Purpose

The Website grants the User a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide right to use lawfully downloaded Assets solely for editorial and informational purposes. The license is non-transferable and may not be sublicensed.

The Website does not license trademarks, trade dress, industrial designs, personalities, or other third-party rights that may be depicted in the Asset. Clearing such rights is the responsibility of the User.

2. Permitted Use

  • Publications in mass media (newspapers, magazines, online articles, television videos).

  • Educational and scientific materials (textbooks, lectures, research, encyclopedias).

  • Documentary films, reports, analytical projects, news blogs.

  • Editorial posts on social media, provided there is a specific informational or news-related purpose.

Monetization of the platform is permissible: placing editorial content alongside advertisements, behind a paywall, or within a paid subscription does not constitute commercial use of the Asset, provided the Asset itself is not used to promote goods or services.

3. Restrictions (in addition to Section 3 of the License Terms and Conditions)

The following is prohibited:

  • Any advertising or promotion of goods, services, or events; campaign mock-ups, POS, banners, promotional landing pages.

  • Branding and identity: logos, trademarks, corporate style, packaging, merchandise.

  • Product integration: games, applications, interactive environments, UI/UX, patterns, presets, templates.

  • Direct commercialization of the Asset or derivatives: sale, resale, stock platforms, catalogs, "packs," NFTs, tokens.

  • AI/ML use-cases — see Clause 3.3 of the License Terms and Conditions.

  • Publication under open licenses or in projects requiring disclosure of source materials or granting free rights — see Clause 3.11 of the License Terms and Conditions.

  • Any scenarios allowing the extraction of source files; compliance with Clauses 3.7 – 3.8 and 3.13 of the License Terms and Conditions is mandatory.

  • Production of physical items, prototypes, merchandise, 3D printing, etc.

4. Technical Requirements: Anti-Extraction and Baked-In

Compliance with Clauses 3.7–3.8 (anti-extraction) and Clause 3.13 (Baked-In) of the License Terms and Conditions is mandatory.

5. Works for Clients, Contractors, Per-Title & Title ID

Title ID is mandatory only for Legal Entities (including contractors of a Client) – see Clauses 2.2.3–2.2.4 of the License Terms and Conditions. It is not required for Individuals, unless they act in the interests of a Legal Entity or Client.

6. Re-download

See Clause 2.2.5 of the License Terms and Conditions (RDW of 24 months; during the 30-day Grace Period — only re-downloads without new Selections).

7. Attribution

Recommended: "Source: ScanWOW (scanwow.com)."

8. Transitions / Eligibility

Applicable to Assets with "Editorial only" status. Available on all Plans; commercial use is prohibited.

9. Warranties and Liability

Assets are provided "as is"; Section 7 of the License Terms and Conditions shall apply.

10. Miscellaneous

Compliance with Clause 3.11 (Source Files, OSS, CC) and Clause 3.12 (NSFW) of the License Terms and Conditions is mandatory.
