А1. Free / Non-Commercial License

1. Purpose and Applicability

This Appendix applies to Assets used by the User exclusively for non-commercial purposes. If an Asset has the special status of “Editorial only”, Appendix A2 shall apply; this Appendix shall not apply to such Assets.

2. Scope of Rights

The User is granted a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide right to use lawfully downloaded Assets exclusively for non-commercial purposes. The license is non-transferable and not subject to sublicensing.

3. Permitted Use

The following are permitted:

— personal non-commercial use;

— education and research;

— non-commercial portfolio use;

— modification and adaptation of Assets;

— publication of images, videos and other materials created using Assets, provided that the source files cannot be extracted and there is no commercial benefit.

4. Special Restrictions

The following are prohibited:

— any commercial use, including direct and indirect monetization;

— transfer and distribution of source files of Assets and derivatives “as-is”;

— use of Assets as part of materials, projects and environments from which the Asset may be extracted “as-is”;

— use of Assets for purposes that violate third-party rights or applicable law.

5. Special Rules

Title ID is not required for this Appendix. If the User acts in the interests of a Legal Entity or a Client, the corresponding commercial regime under the License Terms and Conditions shall apply.

Attribution upon publication of non-commercial materials shall be indicated in a reasonable form, where technically feasible: “Source: ScanWOW (scanwow.com)”.

6. General Reference

In all other respects not regulated by this Appendix, the License Terms and Conditions shall apply, including, among other things, the provisions on prohibitions and restrictions of use, anti-extraction, baked-in integration, re-download, Title ID, License Uplift, liability, interpretation and priority of documents.
